Iranian scientist designs a way to count people via WiFi
Professor Yasamin Mostofi is an Iranian scientist who has discovered that people can be counted via WiFi signals.
In This approach, two WiFi cards are placed opposite each other in a 7 by 10 meter area and as a person crosses and breaks the signal line between the two WiFi transmissions, his/her presence is registered.
The number of people can also be estimated even if they are not carrying a wireless device or are not in the direct signal line.
